Here’s what to do if your desk develops a problem (usually if it has been relocated or there has been a power cut or surge), and the desk will not go up but only go down.
Don’t Panic!
Your Linak desk needs to be rebooted or reinitialised. Just drive your desk down to the lowest point, keep your finger on the down button and wait for a slight judder (this is the control box reconnecting). Then drive your desk up again. All done.

I love the desk. The service, advice and delivery were great. The product and the service which I received were both excellent. We are delighted with the product quality; the desk is solidly constructed and the elevating mechanism works smoothly and perfectly, enabling us to work in a proper healthy manner. All the finishes are pleasing to the eye and it looks great in our home office. It took about half an hour to assemble but the procedure was very straightforward. Importantly for us too, is that it is British-manufactured (with industry-leading Danish motors). H.A.D. themselves were a joy to do business with – great communication from first order to delivery. After chatting to the company, settled on the ELift 800 frame only with the upgraded memory controller with bluetooth. On the day of the order they raised prices by 18 pounds, mentioned this in passing when they called to confirm the order and delivery and they agreed to refund the increase. […]
[…] It really is one heavy beast being 35+ kgs for the frame and another 20 for the desktop. One snag hit was one of the side bolts for the frame was faulty and would not take to the pre drilled hole. A quick email to the company and they sent out a couple of replacements by first class post. The replacement worked perfectly.
The table and frame is solid at seating height. At standing height (110cm), there is no side to side unless you really make an effort so normal use is fine. Front to back is very minor. Expecting this as I have four monitor arms, 3 x M2 sprung arms with 3 x 27 monitors (2 older heavier ones and one lighter newer one). […] Before attaching all the kit, the front to back was hardly noticeable. When moving up and down, its extremely smooth as shown by Cam’s review on youtube.
Was more expensive than originally budgeted but wanted to ensure I get the right desk as any wobble would annoy me no end. Company was great to deal with, responsive to queries and dealing with problems.

I was looking for a standing desk that was made in Britain and ended up ordering the E:Lift 800 LINAK Standing Desk (with black frame and natural finish top) from HeightAdjustableDesks as both the frame and the top are UK made.
I was a little hesitant because of the lack of reviews online but I’m really delighted with my decision. The desk is excellent. High quality construction and very stable when at extended height. It was delivered pre-built on the day they said they would and they called 30 mins before they arrived. The two chaps who delivered were friendly and courteous. They placed the desk in the room and position of my choosing, plugged it in and spent a few minutes showing me how to use it, along with general advice for correct posture and positioning.
A great product backed up by a great service. Would highly recommend.
